A piece of history has been put up for sale in East Hampton for $7 million.

Brothers Cleon and Carter Dodge have listed an 11-acre farm that has been owned by their families for more than a century, The Wall Street Journal reported. Located at 803 and 807 Springs Fireplace Road in the hamlet of Springs, this property consists of a 6 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse, barn and studio.

Jenny Landy and Zach Dayton of Sotheby's International Realty have the list.

The Dodges say their great-grandfather, Julius Parsons, built the farmhouse in his 1880s and it has been family property ever since. Dodge's mother, Mary Louise Edwards Dodge, grew up there and lived there until her death in 2008.

Julius Parsons was a member of the seventh generation of the Parsons family, one of East Hampton's founding families, the paper reported. According to property listings, Parsons did business with the Gardiner family, heirs and namesakes on Gardiner Island, and regularly traded across Gardiner Bay.

The listing says the property is up the street from the Springs General Store, which was once run by Julius Parsons.

This property is billed to potential buyers as an opportunity to own a piece of history. This is a significant bonus for the modern viewer, the property's buildable 2-acre lot. 803 and 807 Springs Fireplace Road in East Hampton

Luxury sales skyrocketed during the pandemic, and markets remained tight as people returned to the office, with the median selling price hitting his $2.6 million in June. This is a record for the region as inventories have fallen. A growing pool of brokers are scrambling to secure deals amid a brokerage gold rush, despite the looming potential for a market cooling.
